Greetings Heroes, Villains, and Renegades!
Happy 6th anniversary to Heroes Rising, which is officially being transitioned into Heroes, Villains, and Renegades (on the mobile apps at least, I am unsure if I can actually update the name on Facebook without breaking it!) as I post this! Don't worry though, nothing really changes for your other than some logos and nomenclature! If you use the mobile apps, you will hopefully see them automatically updated over the next 24 hours.
This is the third anniversary under my command now, and a whopping 32 months since I bought the game from Nick! How time can move both fast and slow amazes me! I can't thank all you players enough for your support over the years, its been a lot of fun, and we're still just in the infancy of all the places we plan to take this game! As a special thank you, we are giving everybody 600 MPs! They have just been added to your account! We also got some new features coming out this month to celebrate the birthday and highlight the focus around Factions, on top of all the normal Birthday Celebrations that happen every year. Be sure to check out the in-game patch notes for details on whats out now, and keep your eyes peeled over the coming days and weeks for additional updates, like Player Hideouts hitting the Prime Time.
One somewhat unexpected thing I did was create an arcade-esque minigame, which you will find as "Aerial Assault" under the Missions tab. I was playing around with some new tech while coming up with some ideas for some more "active" style gameplay as a way to help draw in new players, and I whipped up this little thing in about two days. I had a fun time making it and playing it myself, and thought it would be a fun treat to add into the game. It isn't very expansive at the moment, I wanted to get feedback from ya'll and see what you think and see if enough of you want to see this expanded upon, in which case I can incorporate more aspects of the game into it, utilize things like your toons stats and equipment, etc. Regardless, I hope you enjoy it, and you can earn some resources through gameplay, and I will likely give out MP bonuses to testers and those with High Scores. Let me know what ya'll think!
Other than that, I hope ya'll have a fun month with many more to come! As always, feel free to let me know of any thoughts, feelings, or ideas you have (I got a huge task list, but never hurts to add more to it and know what to prioritize)! Now go out there and beat up some other Super Humans!
