Wind rustled the tall, dried grasses near the beach. A figure strode out, half dressed and rather enjoying the glistening sunlight on his well-toned body. He paused when his feet met the warm sands. It was a glorious day, almost as glorious as he was.
Not too far away, another well toned man swam through the crashing waves. He moved with incredible efficiency through these rough waters. Fish and other sea creatures fled his path, fearful of his might. He breached the surface, crashed back into the water, and then sped toward that same beach.
Stepping out of the water, the water warrior saw his rival standing there.
“So, you put up a good fight at League Wars.”
The dry man smiled, “Better than you.”
“I bested you in round two.”
Both men spent a moment sizing the other up. What began as a friendly meeting was growing into a staring match.
Finally, the dry man said, “I let you win.”
“Like hell. I’m twice the beast as you.”
“You want to see what kind of beast I am!” The dry man screamed and then roared. His body grew even larger, fur sprouted across the surface, his shorts tore to shreds. His head sprouted a magnificent mane that surrounded a face that became that of a lion. He flexed his mighty figure and let out another threatening roar.
The other man spread his feet out and held up his hands. He grunted and then screamed as his hands changed. The skin grew darker, then changed. What were fingers a moment ago became rows of razor teeth. Snouts, eyes, and fins appeared as his fists became shark heads. He stood his ground and yelled as both his fists flashed their teeth.
King of the beasts versus the terror of the deep, two beast forms ready to prove which is the greatest predator of all time.
