I've played Heroes Rising for about seven months now and I have to say how thankful I have been for some of the changes, updates, and overall improvements over that period of time. I'd like to talk about those for a minute this segment in my Thankful series.
#4: The In-Game Improvements
For the most part, our imaginations fuel the images of our characters using their powers. Over the last few months, there have been additional visualizations and updated ones that have really made an impression. Thunder Strike animation, for example, is much better in my opinion. The Floor is Lava and Ice Age have both been great additions.
But most of all, the function that allows you to choose your powers that are displayed in a battle is a huge asset. The ability to customize the character's attacks really helps to bring a hero (or villain) to life.
Along with that, the improvements and additional Avatar items have grown tremendously. And face it people, you must like them or else you wouldn't be spending Morphon points on purchasing Flares, Wings, and Auras. Same with the animal companions. I don't think they are popular just because it was Halloween.
The user interface has gone through some changes, becoming easier to use when looking for a certain power card in your inventory. That alone is a huge blessing. Thumbs up!
My mouse is very grateful to the improvement on the Gifts tab. Being able to accept all gifts and then return them with two button pushes rather than spending minutes tap, tap, tapping had been a very appreciated time saver.
The boom with League Morphon purchases and separate Group Buy options has also shown to be a big win with players.
The League Recruitment Page is also a huge advantage to players wanting to become more involved with a community.
And even though it isn't back in the game permanently yet, the League Headquarter buildings look to be a popular option for game play. The running of two test runs to help get player input and responses shows that the developers are always willing to listen to options. That is a huge advantage to the game in my book. The fact that the developers can actually be seen on the Players Page, interacting with ALL players, not only a specific few for commentary.
Is everything perfect? No, of course not. But that isn't a negative, although some people might think it is. Just as we improve as we play, it is good that the game has to improve as well in order to not get boring or a repetitive grind. Just look at the Trick-or-Treat event. It could have as easily been a Hunt event as they have done in the past, but they tried something new and it was, in my opinion, a big success.
I look forward to what will be improved over the next year, but right now, I am honestly grateful for those changes that have improved the game so far. Developers, please keep your eyes and ears, paying attention to your players input. It makes a difference. Thank you.
See you tomorrow for some more thanking, and if you have a topic you would like to address and give thanks for, feel free to shoot me a comment. I'd love to add more opinions to this topic.
