"So, you called that a Chaos War?" Fae Lord of Chaos Puck said as he dug into his bag of stadium popcorn, his face a sneer of disappointment. He floated on a cloud resembling pink cotton candy, refusing to sit in the uncomfortable stadium seats, while speaking to Silver Paladin, his fledgling acolyte. "When you invited me to the HR dimension to watch, I couldn't wait to see what Director Nova and BADGE cooked up. I've seen more chaos in a bowl of vanilla pudding. Where was the surprise? The excitement? The... CHAOS?"
"I apologize for the event's failure to entertain you." Silver Paladin said as he took a knee before the member of the Fae royal family.
"What was Director Nova thinking?" Puck continued, his rainbow-shaded mohawk hairstyle flouncing from side to side as he shook his head. "Where were the hidden pit traps? Would it have killed him to have one spiked pit with poisoned thorns hidden in the floor? A rabid were-xenomorph let loose in one of the locker rooms to infect a squad before the next round? One single belt of femininity exchanged with the belt normally on a combatants flashy costume?"
"The goal proposed by BADGE was for heroes to learn to fight in new combinations, not relying on their typical league companions for back-up," Silver Paladin said. "In that manner, there was a fair share of chaos in being able to know whether or not to trust your assigned teammates."
"Mildly endearing, at best," Puck shrugged. "Chaos should inspire fear of the unknown but also the wonder of discovery as well. Were any of these new combinations of heroes able to take advantage of this... meek attempt at the beauty of chaos?"
