How to Level - Missions, Boss Fights, & Battles!

There are two ways to earn experience to level, the first we'll cover is Missions!

Missions

Missions are where you spend energy to gain xp, cash, and occasional random drops.

By clicking on the mission button, you spend energy. Don’t worry, it will regenerate!

Boss Fights

Mixed into the mission are boss fights, where your heroes' might is pitted against an enemy, winner take all! All the battles are automatically generated, so once you click the fight button sit back and watch the battle unfold. Click on the “Faster” or “Slower” buttons to change the pace of the battle.

The final boss is fought through the Bosses tab. You will first have to defeat every boss in the city a set number of times to unlock the final boss.

What if I lose a boss Fight?

That’s ok! You’ll have more chances, but it sounds like you need to get stronger. Check out the profile page under Home to spend points you’ve earned. Also, try buying power cards and gear in training! More on both of those, later!

The "Bosses" Tab

Having a hard time finding a boss in the mission screen? Never fear! On the Bosses Page, you can fight the boss you are currently hunting in missions.

They cost a consumable resource drop from the city they belong to, this can take the form of keys, commendations, badges, etc. Each city has its own unique drop that can be acquired through missions and spent on this screen.

You will also fight the final boss of every city here.

Battle

In the Battle Screen, you can fight other players! Use the Lower/Higher buttons to find easier/harder opponents. If you beat them, you’ll earn XP and a portion of any cash they have in their pocket!

Leveling Up!

Leveling Up/Home Screen

As you play through the game, you’ll gain levels and earn points to spend on your character. You spend these points on the Profile screen, located in the Home tab.

Your five stats that you can invest your points into are…
  1. Attack %: This modifies the amount of attack you get from your power cards by a % value. Attack is used to hit and do damage to your enemies.
  2. Defense %: This modifies the amount of defense you get from your power cards by a % value. Defense reduces the amount of damage you take from enemies.
  3. Movement %: This modifies the amount of movement you get from your power cards by a % value. Movement determines who attacks first in a battle, it also determines your chance to dodge an attack, which causes it to miss you entirely!
  4. Life: This adds to the amount of life you have. Every successful attack does damage to the opponents' life. Whoever runs out of life first, loses the battle!
  5. Energy: This modifies how much energy you have to spend on missions. More energy = more missions. Tip! Energy comes back at the same rate, no matter if you have 10 or 100, so spend points here wisely!

Having a Mighty Hero - Powers, Equipment, Careers

Power Cards

Power cards are the bread and butter of any hero. Power cards can be purchased, and upgraded, for cash. Power cards can be purchased in the Power tab and upgraded in the Training tab.

How Cards Work

Every card has an attack, defense, and movement value. These are added to your heroes overall stats.
You can tier up your cards in the training screen. It will cost the currency you used to purchase the card.

Tip! Tiered up cards don’t cost extra upkeep! So it’s always a good idea to keep your core cards as upgraded as possible.

There are three flavors of power cards: Attack, Defense, and Movement. Though every card has all three stats on them, cards tend to have more points in the stat category they specialize in.

Your hero can carry 5 of each type of card (Attack/Defense/Movement) for EACH LEVEL! Ie: You’re going to need a bunch of these, so don’t be shy about it.

How do you use cards?

Cards are used automatically, should you have more cards then you can use, your strongest cards will be used first.

Upkeep

Each power card has an upkeep cost, that’s how much that card costs you, every hour, to own it. If you run out of money, the game will sell off your cards until you are no longer running a negative upkeep. So choose your power spikes wisely, and don’t forget to sell off extra cards when you’re done beating that hard boss.

Pro Tip! Cards purchased for morphons, and many of the cards that drop from missions and bosses in the game, don’t have an upkeep cost. Get as many of these as you can!

Pro Tip! Have a positive upkeep and a healthy bank account. Buy power cards when you need them, then sell them when you’re through!

Equipment

Equipment can be purchased in the equipment section of the Powers tab.

There are many different types of effects, each of them can change how your hero performs in battle and each of them has their own unique advantages and can be countered by other effects. Play around with them to find the right build for you, and always keep a spare set (or three) on hand so you can counter difficult opponents.

Equipment can be purchased for Crystals or Morphons, or can be won as a random drop off bosses.
Equipment can be put on (equipped) in the Equipment section of the Training tab.

Equipment Types

Each equipment type has its own ‘power type’. The power types are Elemental, Physical, Magical, Mental, Technological, or Supernatural.

Your core slot determines your heroes power type. Core slots also gain bonuses from other equipment pieces that match its power type. Elemental core slots do bonus damage for every other piece of elemental equipment you are wearing!

You put on equipment by dragging and dropping it or double-clicking on it.

Making Money - Careers

Aside from earning cash through missions and battles, you will also earn money through your career. You unlock new careers as you level and they pay you hourly! Always be sure to have the best career you qualify for.

Tip! Be sure to regularly bank your cash! Any cash in your pocket is up for grabs by other players who defeat you in battle. To access you bank, just click on the money icon in your HUD.

Crystals

Crystals can be farmed on your profile page, in the home tab. These are a unique currency that can only be acquired here and can be spent on upkeep free power cards and specialized pieces of equipment.
