Let’s talk about levels. And the game mechanic that controls them. Many of you have probably noticed that as you level. The experience required to do so again often increases. This increase continues to replicate itself making it more time consuming to do so again. For many of the original veteran players this was an exhausting task. Original avengers and skelanimal dedicated a substantial percentage of our days playing constantly to push the level wall of the game along. As more players push towards the wall the game has a mechanic that reduces the required xp for everyone below them. X number of players at or near the wall moves the wall. X number of players within certain perimeters of the wall reduces the xp for the field below them.
For the last 6-12 months no one besides wmd or 5th precinct with few exceptions has cared to level. The entire games plan has involved slowing down and letting them simply have the top of the game and let themselves paint themselves into a corner. None of us wanted to play around the clock anymore. Amassing 60,000 xp to level once. Those of us with the money to pay game craftsman’s light bill also have social lives and high time consumption jobs. It was unreasonable. Now with the introduction of mp and bux xp cons as well as in game earned patrol xp cons which all stack, the field has been leveled. Gone are the days of playing every hour on the hour. I can come home from my 10 hour work day. Pop multiple xp cons and level from 382-432 in 2 hours. Opening 100 skill points, multiple gear slots and 250 power card slots.
Players should not discount the idea of simply outleveling the people they want to beat. It’s never been easier. Do all of your daily tasks but do not collect the final reward button. Pop your cons. Then collect that xp at advanced rate. Burn your fights on the highest level opponents you can win against to maximize, and do so with your energy. It’s quite possible to level without utilizing a single energy gift 10+ times. Remember that every level you gain unlocks more options for you in the game as a whole.
