POV of a New Player: Patrols

So as a newbie player I wanted to learn as much as I could about the game as quickly as I could. Needless to say, I am sure I have made a bunch of mistakes. But I wanted to address the Patrols from the new persons point of view, to maybe give some other new up-and-comers some insight.

The patrols are your primary way to earn cool cards and MPs on a daily basis. Of course, that means you will also be gaining xp and leveling up the more you use it. If you are in the game to gain levels quickly, this will help.

When you start out, you will have access to New Amsterdam. This is the city that you will mainly be working through, and you will want to do the Tour of BADGE first. Even trying the next ones was just too tough as a Level 1-3. But as you get more experience and get more power cards, you will be able to move to the next patrol, Your First Patrol. You can give it a try of course, before you finish the Tour, So go for it.

The next three patrols are much, MUCH harder, and you will need a lot of energy to do them. The first two patrols only use 5 energy each, while the next ones are 8, 7, and 8, respectively.

Super Golf you can start, you wont get to really enjoy it until you get your golf club and first golf ball. You can get that in the Your First Patrol.

During the course of doing a patrol, you will start to earn "Events". Clicking on these events could let you stop a bad guy, do something really spectacular, or even visit the black market. The black market lets you buy things for MPs that you may want to use later. These items might help you with Resistances to certain types of attacks. Pretty nifty.

Be Warned! Your events are only good for 24 hours. After that they disappear and you wasted your Energy.

The rewards for beating an event can be really good, sometimes you get new power cards, bux, crystals, and even MPs. You can even get BADGE Commendations, which you can use to fight "Bosses" that you have beaten while doing patrols. Gain enough Commendations and you can re-fight these bosses for better and better rewards.

Now, something I have heard about and found interesting, is that there is a hidden section called "Missions" UNDER the Missions tab. From what I understand, is that won't appear until you are level 23. I will let you know more about that area after I reach that level. Almost there. Kind of.

So that is Patrols. Give them a run through and see what you think. I like doing them for the story lines. I am working on completing my last New Amsterdam (As well as that darn Golf Patrol) and I have started on Purgatory Penitentiary.
