PREPARING FOR LWS9 AQUATIC

By Todd Goode 12205

League Wars 9 Aquatic signups are underway and will be ending on august 13th. If you haven’t yet begun to prepare you are falling behind. Use this chart as a time line of events because the smack downs are coming.

Leagues qualifications and rules can be found on the LW tab. Some main things :
1. A league must have 7 members to participate.
2. Divisions are determined by the average of the 6 highest level league members of your league.
3. Attackers can only lose to an opponent 4X – after the fourth attack loss, you cannot attack that opponent anymore.
There are many things to prepare for a league war. The guys of Penguins Inc. don’t just stand around eating fish and watching players walk people toed.

Preparing for a league wars starts after a league war ends. Each player on the league has a certain amount of time to improve their toons between league wars. This is done in a usual manner; by doing missions, patrols, fight clubs, climb events, and gear and power card acquiring.
Why are these important? They are important because it helps you learn about your prospective opponents strengths and weakness and what suits you will need to build in order to defeat them by the time the next league war begins.
Penguins Inc. recommend that players build the strongest suits of each element core they can. This way you can have a good counter core suit when needed. If you are counting suits, that is at least, your 6 best suits.
Penguins Inc. recommend you get the best gear you can that compliments your other gear pieces. Gear pieces that add percentages to your strengths first then those that add a base flat number. Gear pieces that offer a resist and a damage are also nice to have. Preferably, if possible, a collection of gear pieces that are all the same element core can offer extra points. It’s a challenge to acquire gear pieces but if you so choose you can get help from the store or the shuffle.
Penguins Inc. recommend trying to add at least one power card per day. It doesn’t matter if it’s a bux card, a crystal card or a morphon card. Just keep adding power.
Penguins Inc. recommend that players should participate in any and all events that reward consumable power ups that add extra powers such as resist mental or plus 5% attack for example. Some cons can even help you recharge energy or battles faster. Those are great to have a bunch of. Consumables have a short lifespan but if you save them up and use them properly, you can plan out their use for the duration of all three rounds in LWS. Also, they say get your exercise and take your vitamins but I got to say. I did 365 sit ups this year and I couldn’t see a difference but I’m sure I have abs here somewhere.
So you’ve got the toon building going good and you’re strong enough to flipper smack a biatch but now its almost LWS time. Its time to start thinking ‘team and teams’.
In a perfect world, a league would have 7 players of the same power range that can have a league wars team average that falls into their desired division in LWS. If you can place your team into a division that has comparable teams you know you can beat you have a better chance to win medals. That’s easier said than done.
Penguins Inc. recommend recruiting players with similar stats as your own league mates. Penguins Inc also recommend making good alliances with other teams. This will make it easier to figure team set ups according to teams averages and strengths. Good alliances can offer more choices to achieve this as alliances can trade players to assemble your best team to reach desired division goals. In other words be nice, make friends, go on kayak trips together, see who can eat the most fish etc. etc. and help each other grow and at LWS time, win together.
So now that you have got suits built and teams set up. Penguins Inc. recommend that you do some recon. When divisions are announced and you know who your opponents will be, do some scouting. See what the other team has. Know your enemy before the fighting begins so any suit gear tweaking can be made.
How exactly do you scout you ask? Well Penguins Inc. recommend that you use an alliance member or a team alternate with similar strengths to the player or players you are scouting to learn the most information on your opponent. Now send the scout to pick a fight with that opponent. Just go up, tap them on the shoulder and when they turn around, poke em right in the eye with your beak or finger, whatever. Take note of the gear and cores they are using so they may be countered and beaten. Sometimes, you can share a scout battle by copying the link for the fight so the whole team can learn. You can even be sneaky and scout in the climb events where your opponents can’t see the attacks.
If you have done these things, then you are ready. If you haven’t, work on it. This is how the Penguins do. Penguins Inc. wish you success. We not only do it for the fun but we do it for the halibut.
Its LWS Aquatic, don't forget your swim fins.
