Heroes Rising Art Appreciation

Hey everyone, Furious Squirrel here. I hope it's okay that I had help writing this. A friend edited it and made it readable. I am not good with writing stuff.

Anywho, I wanted to highlight one of my fave things about this game. The art. You may not know, but I work as a model for artist. Im no good at art, but I can appreciate it. I like the comic style that is used in a lot of the featured cards, items, and backgrounds. But, I love the special art used for the raids and some of the mp powers. They are so cool.

I asked Dan Peyton about the artist for the game and he said that almost all the pieces I was specifically asking about he had done.

About the art. Beast Mode is one of my personal faves. The figure looks so real and the lion face is incredible. The mane on that dude looks like the real deal. I love the energy and emotion that pic has. When it was part of the tug of war event, I wanted it sooo bad. (I got it!)

The Santa's Presents card, the art is great. Love the santa isn't just the fat jolly guy like everyone else draws. He looks like the granpa you want to have. It feels like a superpower, but then again it looks like a piece of christmas decoration you'd put out.

My favorite stuff, though, is the steampunk stuff. If you seen my avatar, youd know I love Steampunk. There is just enough filtered into the game that it really is cool. Not many superhero things have steampunk stuff in it.

Summon Dirigible is amazing, sad since I never got a copy. But, it is so neat. It looks like a superhero who is steampunk. Cape, tights and all, but more steampunky style for his suit and with the blimp behind him. A nice blend.

Time Travel. Someone gave me a copy of this card as their secret santa thing. You don't know how happy that made me. I'm not big enough to buy my own copy yet, so I was happy. Again, a nice execution of steampunk style. well done.

Finally, the Father Time raid boss. I know it really isn't steampunk, but it has the feel of it. Clockworks, gears and all. Just a beautiful piece. Nicely done. I want a copy of that picture!

I do love other art in this game, especially the raid art. Dans jackolanturns were cool. But my favorite was the big robot in Las Vegas, which Dan informed me he didn't do. One of their commissioned artists did that. Dan did the original art called Retro Warrior. Their artist took that and made the raid boss. Very nice work.

Thanks for all the great art, keep it coming!
