I hope you are all playing the raid right now, it is only the beginning. The secret organization that has recruited Arx has also just paid for a lot more mercs to help them mess with the heroes. They have a plan, a ploy to distract you while they nab the newly born Avatars of the Morphons. What part do you play in protecting the avatars and the world from the nefarious deeds of this evil organization and their egomaniac celebrity?
This is not just a raid story, it is much more than that. The raid is only the beginning. Well, almost the beginning, the first chapter of this story was released yesterday so that the raid would follow. But, there is SO much more. The story will continue to be released, two chapters a day, for a week. That will lead to another big event. What is it? You will just have to read and play along to find out.
How do you play a story? Time to go on a patrol. This is a new idea that we have been working out and decided it was time to test it. A new, temporary, Patrol has been released today to coincide with the raid. The patrol "Road to the Gala" takes your hero on a patrol all over the world. You are seeing the story through the eyes of your hero. The Patrol is broken into three major parts, each with four chapters. Each major part will be released over the next week, part one is available today. As you play the patrol go and read the daily stories, you will find out what is happening in the overarching story that your hero is taking part in.
This is an attempt to allow the players a little more role playing into the story of Heroes Rising. We hope to do more of these Patrol/Lore events where you get to be part of the story as it unfolds.
Go, beat up some mercs, find clues, help BADGE and Nova do their job, and see where this leads. It is exciting event that I really hope you enjoy.
