Timebender is certain that there is something going on here and uses his time cloning ability to split himself several ways at once. While one of him, along with several dimensional doubles from parallel worlds with different powers, is fighting the mercenaries in the raid, another copy of him is out tracking down the remaining avatars. Still another copy is on the Satellite, ready for the next round of the League Wars.
While each of them will be weaker, as they will be unable to call upon time clones for backup, they have plenty of time power to go around for almost anything they can face...as long as they avoid those anti-morphon rays.
The Timebender at the Satellite discovers that the final rounds of the League Wars were canceled. He collects his prize for a single victory and then transforms into a time shadow that slips backwards in time, trying to track down the origin of those weapons. Hopefully, he will return with news about how to overcome them.
The Timebender on the battlefield is making a dent, though he is only a tenth as effective as the Gentleman and a third as effective as most of the other leaders. The one seeking the missing Avatars is finding the search to be slow going. This could take a while, even for a time controller.
