It's the second week of July, and for our heroes, it has been a fairly slow one so far. There has been a fair amount of activity in the KOTM events as heroes duel, brawl, and... chrono... their way to the top. Division placement suggested by our Mayor CJ was put in place for a few days for testing, but has already returned to normal. The gold "kick up" has been reduced to just two events now. There isn't much buzz about the situation, so I think overall, our heroes just want to fight. If they take a prize, bonus.
Here are some highlights from this week's activities.
First Hero Reaches Level 400
There are several other members of the WMD Black Order nearly reaching that designation as well. It might not be long until their entire league is made up of members of the 400+ Club.
Free Detroit Patrols
Are you a classic sci-fi lover? If you are, you should be taking advantage of the Patrol options in Free Detroit. This Patrol option for heroes has recently become available, and from what I hear, Detroit is everyone's destination.
Before starting the patrol, spare a moment to click the "?" button and ready the prologue to the story behind the events taking place. It will help set the scene and explain why Detroit has become home to so many unusual visitors. Who are these visitors? Well, I'm sure you will recognize most, if not all, of the invaders present.
Villains Inc.
In an unusual promotion, Mayor CJ and the newly formed Villains Inc. league have opened their doors up wide for the world to see what happens with these entities.
In his own words, here is the deal:
"Free mp fan fiction contest!!!
This is an open fan fiction contest for all HR players. Write a heroes rising fan fiction in the sentinel involving some or all of the toons from villains inc. At this point im sure we all realize they are loosely based on the players that play them to a lesser degree. Any questions can be directed to myself or any villain. Glorifying VI isnt even a requirement. Fictions involving comedy, fantasy, parody (at our expense or not) or rated pg13++ are all welcome. Tag me in your sentinel entry so that entries can be gathered and read. Entries must be submitted by sunday 7-18-21 at the hour of eeeeeevil midnight central. Members of VI will delegate and receive input from masters in the realm of editing. Im tapping into my peeps in the editorial wing including the overlord of editorial swag chih huahua.
1 lucky winner will be a ride along villain for a few lovely hours. And sit in, free of charge, on a villains inc hundo buy. Winning somewhere approx 1800-2000 mps the weekend after contest ends. Im not gonna math. Thats for nerds.

To date, there has already been one submission made for this player-run fan-fiction contest. The deadline is just over one week away, so jump on board the Crazy Train and start your first drafts.
"Out on Patrol" Fan-Fiction Contest
A contest has been offered by Author Dan Peyton once again and this time, he wants to know what your heroes have been doing during the recent trials put forth by unknown entities. Follow the link above for full details.
