At the end of round one of League Wars 3. We find our Hero staring up at the scoreboard with a look of dismay on his face.
What just happened? How did it happen? These thoughts kept running through his mind as he stared at the score in disbelief. Sure he had just been transferd over to this team the day before. But never did he feel his first League wars Battle in Heros Rising would be a defeat. His League of teams was well known and somewhat feared for producing great teams.The Captain he new from back in the SHC. Although never fighting beside him on the same team. He knew him to be a well skilled polished leader. Could it possibly be his new teammates? No nothing unusual there. Just your average mixture of noobies with some veterans. Possibly team placement? No. The placement was ok. So what just happened?
Sometimes when we loose it is nobody s fault. It is easy being a super hero when things are going great. We slap each other on the back. With one eye on the championship we yell. “Bring on the next victims”..But the true test is after a first round loss. To pick you and your teamates up, dust each other off. Then say. This next teams going to pay!

Ace stood on one side of the locker room entrance, while Krystal stood by the other. As the bruised LoS members filed past, many heads hung low in defeat.
As Ace followed the others inside, her face was grim.
Since Krystal had been with the team since nearly the beginning, she stepped to the head of the room since Ace showed no sign of wanting to speak.
"So... we weren't the leaders this round...", said Krystal. "... c'mon guys... these were The Avengers... granted not their top guys, but these guys are hardly second-stringers... Ace, you've only been in charge of the team a couple of weeks... it's just bad timing..."
"You others... at least we managed to go toe-to-toe with them... how many can say that The Avengers team couldn't back them down... we might have been beaten, but we have yet to be truly defeated... that only occurs if you don't stand up one more time than you got knocked down..."
"It's gonna get better... luckily, the hardest fight was the first this time... Stay the course, and we'll show them all what LoS is made of...".
While each of her comrades were bruised and somewhat grim, there was a renewed determination in their eyes."

This provided what proved to be an insurmountable lead on the way to a 169 to 18 victory in the opening round.
