" ... and so it would appear that although the two words are spelt exactly the same, the pronunciation and meaning is quite different, but both can be applicable when it all breaks down. And now finally we are able to join the SuperActionSports Team... Jay C, Robert Jnr good to see you guys!"
"Thanks Kennie, it's good to be here."
"Well we aren't actually here, thats a green screen thingy, we're actually in Jay's garage."
"I understand that lockdown has had an impact on you guys."
"Just a bit Kennie ... I've been stuck here for months, I had to start wearing Jay's underwear"
"And I'm not happy about that Kennie ... he's stretching it!"
"Well things should be back to normal soon."
"What's normal Kennie?"
"I'll tell you what's not normal Kennie ... sharing a toothbrush!"
"Anyway guys ... League Wars 3?"
"Oh yes Kennie, in a time of upheaval and uncertainty there is no denying that the League Wars have been a great distraction. The weeks of build up and preperation, the immense action of each round, the nail biting finals and of course from our temporary news base no sign of Nova."
"So ... how's it all gone?
"Kennie ... the best LW's yet!"
"Seriously what a wars we've witnessed ... let's look back at the early action. Division one started hard with Avengers and Murderer's Row posting big scores and declaring their intentions clearly."
"Murders' Row"
"No it definitely says Murderer's"
"Ok ... and Division two lead off with Colony and Avengers again taking the wins. "
"Division three was all about Wildcards laying down a big win, and another Avengers team taking out the 5th Precinct Psycho Squad."
"Division four had no Avengers in it, but Suicide Squad and the 5th Wise Guys started strong."
"Divisions five, six and seven were the big leagues with eight teams starting, so we didnt see clear favourites out the gate."
"No but we did witness Dark Guins hit a massive 260 points. That match was a serious bloodbath."
"Gotta remember those 'guins got beaks and know how to use them!"
"Round two was where it started to get serious ... Again in D1 Avengers and the Row cruised towards the inevitable."
"D2 was again the Avengers/Colony show. Those guys were staring each other down as soon as the brackets were announced."
"D3 Wildcards going over 180 and Avengers getting a seventy plus point win."
"D4 and Suicide Squad got the shut out and Wise Guys fought hard to beat Red Guard."
"D5 and Dark Guins were showing they were the form team."
"Tough little flightless birds!"
"I believe that they can fly!"
"Jay they are flightless birds!"
"I'm not so sure ..."
"The highlight of round two in D6 was definitely the Army of Darkness really taking it to 5th SWAT. But Pain were also recording a good win."
"D7 And The Purple Onion, the unlikely Champions in LW2 met a Suffering side with a point to prove, we also got another glimpse of the Brotherhood."
"I had money on it being Onion vs Brotherhood for the title."
"You know what they say about a fool and his money ..."
"No ... but I do know what they say about the finals ... it's a winner takes all!"
"So the D7 final was between Suffering and The Brotherhood. Now Suffering have been in the lower division for three wars and Brotherhood are newcomers to the SuperSports action."
"But no first final nerves on display. They were dominant and definitely a team to keep an eye on in the future."
"D6 was always looking like The Pain Show ... hard to bet against those guys."
"I certainly didn't!"
"D5 and the Guins made it look almost effortless."
"I'm sure there were a few ruffled feathers behind the scenes."
"D4 saw Red Guard and Tyggers fighting hard in the third/fourth place match, great battle from both teams. And Suicide Squad took the belt, they were looking for a hundred point lead there but never quite got those last few wins due to the 5th defense really tightening."
"D3 Wildcards had really laid it on the table in the first two rounds, but the Avengers dealt them a crushing defeat."
"D2 ... oh my god D2! Both matches were so close. You look at the scores ... Seraphim Angels 105 - Legacy of Spawn 95 and Avengers 80 - Colony 77."
"Literally had me glued to both feeds ... Spawn putting a really solid performance, but Warlock Angels crew kept edging ahead, but even that wasn't close to the battle of the wars."
"Colony vs Avengers was literally everyone's call as soon as we saw the divisions and it didn't disappoint."
"We witnessed Avengers starting out strong, a few unanswered wins, then Colony started to come back, then it went back in Avengers favour."
"It stayed close and we saw Colony go ahead with not much time on the clock. But then the Avengers final play ... Dredge and Blue Dragon getting critical wins and the final win went to our favourite flaming friend Fiero,"
"Lets keep her sweet cos I can never forget those images when Nickelback ... "
"Once you see a rock band burned alive on stage you can never unsee it."
"Anyway ... D1 and the heavyweights were at it again."
"No clowning around by NMDS as they took down the 5th Galactic, we saw some great shots fired by Kzaz, Zanazola and Captain Aim Eric Ah, he gets a special mention as the first person to take out an Avenger this wars. I cant help but also mention the performance of Hot Wings ... definitely the Galactic MVP. "
"Hot Wings is probably a sure thing for outstanding Newcomer. He really pulled a rakly and just came outta nowhere!"
"And the Heavyweight final ... those line ups know each other well, you see them clustered on the Hill and battling hard in every climb event, and frequently in fight clubs .."
"Dont talk about the ..."
"Sorry yes ... we expected a tense affair .. we got one ... there were long periods of stare downs, posturing, a few exploratory forays into enemy territory, more staring."
"It was like watching a morphon fuelled remake of Twilight"
"But without the sparkling ... except maybe The Wizard .. he is a bit ..."
"The action when it happened was intense and brutal. This was a pick your moment, take your shot, make it count affair."
"But it looks like it was actually won by defense."
"I think the Avengers set out a great game plan, stuck to it, gave away nothing, took the opportunities when they arose and that's how you get results."
"Fantastic action everywhere guys!"
"Certainly was Kennie!"
"But what made this wars for us was that we got to sit here and watch it unfold, and we didnt have to deal with any of the hype, the merchandise... or Nova."
"We did try to get him for an interview."
"Really?"
"Of course Kennie .. I had my PA text his PA and try to schedule something, but we just couldn't make it happen"
"You don't have a PA Robert Jnr"
"Don't I? Probably why the thing didn't happen... oh well."
"But dont worry Kennie, we did get an exclusive with the man who really matters... Strange Quark."
"That's right Kennie, we spoke to the 2 time title winner and year long leader of the All Time Win rankings."
"But guy's isnt he an Aven ..."
"Get with the program Kennie, he retired from action and took up a serious position in BADGE, and was the head referee for LW3."
"Admittedly you don't see much of the refs in the matches Kennie, but someone has to keep the scores ..."
"And sometimes seperate the teams in the tunnel..."
"Anyway live by satellite link... Strange Quark..."
"Quark ... let me start by asking did you think that after retiring from active duty you would have time to relax?"
"Well I knew the new position with Nova would be a..."
"And then you get to referee the LWs... a lot of responsibility."
"It was quite an honour to be asked by No..."
"And you really got to see the action close up and personal, how was it?"
"Guys it was a ripper of a wars, top quality matches, top quality opponents and the action was out of this world. Not only that but the facilities at the LWs stadium ... the food, the music, the free bar ... it really had everything and we need to thank the team from BADGE that set this all up and obviously a big thanks needs to go to N..."
"Personal highlights?"
"I was amazed by Hot Wings' performance. And I enjoyed watching Starscream a lot. Lumpsum was a much improved participant, Shinobi, Zen and Nightshadow were a real offensive unit. We saw a real dogged performance from Fleagle and Anomaly. Powerman showed up just once for a change, I didn't even see multiple dimensionally versions of him. The entire Dark Guins team were ruthless and The Brotherhood are a team to watch for sure. I have actually got a lot of notes on performances that need passing over to..."
"You clearly enjoyed it... and will you be back for next LW's?"
"If I'm asked to appear, I might, I might not, I might appear and not appear at the same time, it's subjective."
"Ok... yep... erm... any last thoughts?"
"Well yes guys... I really think people need to think more about atomic decay, every day atomic nuclei are experiencing spontaneous breakdowns... We need to try and help them through these tough, changing times. Offer them support... You've got to remember that a radioisotope has unstable nuclei which may not have enough binding energy to hold the nucleus together. And we can be there to help them keep it together."
"A very noble cause, and something that we may think about later..."
"I'll google it Quark..."
"Thanks guys!"
"No thank you!"
"Anyway, Kennie, that's all we have, but we are hoping that we'll be back to normal programming before next LWs."
"And back in my own underwear!"
"Thank you Robert Jnr, Jay C .... That was the SuperActionSports Team LW3 Roundup .... coming up we will be talking to a man who genuinely believes every conspiracy theory regarding 5G, a flat earth proponent, a woman who was abducted by aliens fourteen times in a month, a woman that married a ghost, an astrologer who actually predicted the events of 2020 but nobody saw his prophesies until last week and a snake that thinks it can win a fight against a robot jet plane in a feature we are calling "Ken you believe it?".
All that and more after these messages from our sponsors..."
