But that doesn't mean that the heroes who engage in the new Patrol, "A Gift for Nova", shouldn't get some boon as well. And for those who have completed the Patrol, they know that the rewards go from good to Very, Very GOOD.
Without knowing how long this particular Patrol will be offered, here are some tips for players who aren't engaging in this birthday event.
1)You need a black Ticket to Orbit!' in order to engage the Patrol. If you are wearing an item celebrating the Heroes Rising birthday on you avatar, you will have received a few of these over the past few days in your inventory. You can also earn them while Patrolling in New Amsterdam in the "A Baker, a bunny, and a Hero" patrol, along with a Golden Ticket which will be usable later in the month. Finally, if you have been checking your mailbox and discovered a birthday card from a fellow hero, when you use said consumable, there is either a Ticket to Orbit!' or a Golden Ticket inside the envelope as well.
So, if you have been unable to engage in the "A Gift for Nova" Patrol due to not having a Ticket to Ride!', I suggest checking your mailbox. And in order to receive cards, they must also be mailed. Be sure to design and send some out. (You can do four per day, but always try to send out at least one more. Sometimes the mailman is nice and lets you get one more outgoing one.)
3) If you can, check the "A Gift for Nova" Patrol frequently. It is timed at an hour-and-a-half, but you can encounter several activations during that period of time. The game will only 'hold' two activations open for 24 hours, but if you start it and can check it multiple times over the allotted time period, you will trigger activations multiple times more than just the two.
It is possible to have up to three Patrols active at the same time. I highly recommend that "A Gift for Nova" is one that you spam as much as possible and acquire as much as you can get during the Heroes Rising 2nd Birthday Bash as possible. It is more than likely true that many of the other players are, so don't be left out of the fun.
And if nothing else, do it for Nova!
