League War Birthday Bash: The Nine Rings of Hell...oops, I mean The Nine Divisions

by Chaz Hamilton

With record speed, the line-up for divisions in League War Birthday Bash has been posted, shared, and analyzed by team leaders across the board. Let's take a look at what they might be paying attention to before combat begins.

Division 1
][☣][ WMD - Black Order
5th Precinct: Omniversal Traffic Cops
5th Precinct Galactic
♦ Avengers 5¹ ♦

The easiest prediction is that the two 5th Precinct teams have once again found themselves fighting for bronze. Even with strong contestants, fan-favorites Tri-Blade, Doctor Silver Strange Surfer, and other notably talented personalities, the leadership of this multi-division league will have failed to position them in a division where they can dominate the field. With the top contenders of WMD-Black Order going against Avengers 5¹ for the gold, everyone else will become a bloodstain on the carpet as these two mega-competitors barrel down on one another. Who will come out on top? WMD-Black Order has held on to the gold medal here for several league wars, and possession is nine-tenths of the law. The Avengers 5¹ will need to be really hungry if they want to finally reclaim it.

Division 2
The Hor$emen of the Apocolyp$e
] ✡ [ Angels Of Sorcery ] ✡ [
~ƝMĐŞ~┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐
♦ Avengers 5¹ Fiordland VIP Lounge♦

Now, in Division 2, we find the Avengers 5¹ Fiordland VIP Lounge and see a familiar pattern arising once again. The Avengers 5¹ organization spread out across a majority of the divisions, primed to capture as many golds as they can and in only one division do they have two teams competing against one another for a prize. Will this precision pay off for them here in Division 2? They vie against three leagues that have also been present in Division 1 in the past. The Hor$emen of the Apocolyp$e have some strong hitters, well recognized in the KOTM battles. Angels of Sorcery has some new blood in their rosters as the talented Crossroads has joined the league with other former 5th Precinct members. Nevets5th still carries the precinct's branding, so is this the sign of a new alliance having formed to combat the Avengers/51 union? And finally for Division 2, NMDS rounds out the participants. These clowns are primed and ready to fight, their impressive roster containing some prominent names from past league wars. NMDS Milenko, NMDS KZAZ, and Zanazola Merlio ZM all have a reputation for greatness. This will be a division battle to pay attention to.

Division 3

♦ Avengers 5¹ ♦
† SERAPHIM ANGELS †
Legacy of Spawn
5th Precinct: Kung Fu Hustle

This division contains some names present since the Inaugural League War. The Avengers 5¹ have defeated the other leagues over the past few league wars, taking the gold. It will be between the SERAPHIM ANGELS and Legacy of Spawn to fight for the silver award, leaving the 5th Precinct: Kung Fu Hustle with a pat on the back and printed participants badge. Whatever else might be said about the 5th Precinct, it is clear they are trying. In 9 divisions, they have 8 leagues fighting, tied with the Avengers 5¹ family. After League War Birthday Bash, we will be able to see who is doing it better.

Division 4

♆SOB♆ HUNTER /KILLER
Omniversal Guardians
Շђє รς๏ՇՇเรђ ςɭคץ๓๏гєร ▬ι═══ﺤ
G^L^XY R^N63R5

Oops, make that potentially nine 5th Precinct teams. The Omniversal Guardians in Division 4 seem to have dropped their 5th Precinct affiliation from their name, perhaps in an attempt to rebel or prove themselves. Maybe it was an oversight by their branding division. SOB Hunter/Killer has dropped down a division from last league war. Will this give them an edge during the fight? I'm looking forward to seeing The Scottish Claymores on the field of battle, but with their large numbers and diversity in levels, they will be fighting an uphill battle. The Galaxy Rangers also contain a vast array of experience levels in their team, so many of the battles will come down to participation. Who will risk it for the biscuit and who will give away losses like STDs? The enthusiasm to fight sometimes changes an outcome based on a few small errors in judgement.

Division 5
♦ Avengers 5¹ ♦ EAD
☠₵ⱤɆ₳₮ɄⱤɆ₴ Ø₣ ₮ⱧɆ ₦ł₲Ⱨ₮☠
Tygger’s Freak Show
5th Precinct: Section 8 Pool Hall and Bar
Time's Arrow
5th Precinct: Space Force
$тα¢кє∂♦Ðê¢k
Aussie Freaks

Any team with Slayer B.A.S. has to be a favorite to win, so it is a fair wager that Avengers 5¹ ♦ EAD will shine in Division 5. Stacked Deck has some well known powerhouses, such as the ever-present SADIST,  ☠ღM̴̞̻̈́̈́͑y̵̺̝̞̿̽͝s̴̟̞̽̒t̵̘̝͉́̓̽ḯ̸̠̠͑̐.., and Black Winter. They might prove to be a strong contender for silver. While one of the most generous leagues on the battlefield, new-player training league Time's Arrow might struggle to place against their opponent in this division. Odds are that 5th Precinct: Section 8 Pool Hall and Bar will outplace their family member, 5th Precinct: Space Force, for the silver. It always saddens me to see examples of how large league organizations prioritize their members, like having a favored child and 'the other one'.

Division 6
♦ Avengers 5¹ Drop the D ♦
5th Precinct: CODE BLUE
The Star Force
The C+ Players
~\\\\ PAIN inc. ////~
LӨΛDΣD♦Ðê¢k
♦ AVENGERS 5¹ ♦
‡ ☠ₜₕₑ B-ʈΣAm☠ ‡

Two Avengers 5¹ leagues in this division, along with ~\\\\ PAIN inc. ////~ is going to make for a very interesting challenge for all other participants. It is going to take brains as well as power to take the gold here. Vegas odds are on Avengers 5¹ Drop the D taking the gold, but silver will be up for the grabs of any who are bold enough to fight for it.

Division 7

Freaks of Nature
NobleGates
5th Precinct: Mortal Kombat
Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ
♦ AVENGERS 5¹ ibuprofen♦
‡ ☠♥]V[OJ๏'S Đ๏JO♥☠ ‡
5th Precinct: Night Shift
The Star Force: Junior League

The leagues in Division 7 are going to be fighting tooth and nail for the attention of viewers. There are some well known contenders, but most of these competitors are still finding their footing. Experience is going to be the key. NobleGates has a sizeable roster of 10 members while most other leagues have 7 on a team. Will this prove to be a liability for the NobleGates league or a strength? And yet another duo of 5th Precinct leagues clog up the works, with the Mortal Kombat version a clear superior force to the Night Shift. Here, participation is key once again.

Division 8
‡ ☠ FireFly Fun Haus ☠ ‡
~//// SUFFERING\\\\~
♦ AVENGERS 5¹ ♦ RABBIDΩPINKΩBUNNIES
MacGregors!!
loon platoon
丂乇几丂卂ㄒ丨ㄖ几卂ㄥ 丂乇ᐯ乇几
The Purple Onion
‡ ₳ ƮΣ₳}v{ ‡

♦ AVENGERS 5¹ ♦ RABBIDΩPINKΩBUNNIES. If you ever wondered where all the members of these the AVENGERS 5¹ come from, here is your answer. Bunnies, rabid, pink, and ready to rise in the ranks. They will have their work cut out for them as they contend with ~//// SUFFERING\\\\~. As for the rest of the leagues, they each have an opportunity to stand out from one another, but it is anyone's game here.

Division 9
L.U.S.H. (Legion of Unusual Superheroes)
Beer Beach Surf Club
Ɲotoriou§eveƝ
℞₳Î̧Ɖ€℞☠₦₳₸Î̧Φ₦
T.H.E. B.O.R.G.
♦ Avengers 2¹ ♦ mini
Ro¢k 'ñ' Wrê§Ƭlïñg Ç0ññê¢Ƭïoñ
TᕼE ᑎᗯO

In one of the largest league wars so far, a ninth division brings in some of the least experienced combatants, but not the least active. KOTM challenges have seen frequent fights involving these heroes, each trying to increase their ability to fight using the least quantities of gear and powers. Barely able to participate in the new Patrols offered by BADGE, these leagues will likely be the most violent. Ɲotoriou§eveƝ and ℞₳Î̧Ɖ€℞☠₦₳₸Î̧Φ₦ members are frequently seen in tight units as they fight in any and all KOTM events, so they are going to surely be the ones to watch here as League War Birthday Bash begin.

The Sentinel wishes the best of luck to all participants. As always, despite the nature of the event, we all come out ahead as our heroes work hard to train and prepare for the next threat to challenge the world.
