The 2nd Birthday of Heroes Rising, so far...

Across the game pages of Heroes Rising, players are finding new or expanded content on a daily basis.

The Birthday Cards:

Starting on June 1st, players could design and send Birthday cards out to other players. While it is strange that Director Nova has become the agent of delivery for these messages, everyone has the opportunity to cash in on rewards for these unique cards. By opening the mailboxes located in the top right page corners of several tabs, it is possible to receive the special Birthday Cards and the reward feature they offer. There is nothing wrong with a free consumable in my book. Each day, a hero can send 4 more cards out for others to find. Be sure to create one throughout the birthday event. Who likes to open an empty mailbox.

More KOTM events:

The KOTM events have a sizeable roster of battles to enter. I don't believe I have ever seen this many active events at one time. While the Division assignments are not always ideal, with more open battles going on, there is a greater chance of contestants being bumped out of one Division and into a higher bracket for three rounds.

If you are looking to gain an advantage in these KOTM events, now might be the best time to participate. The opponents who typically own the top spots may be shipped off to a new division, improving your opportunity to earn a higher spot.

Rewards for participants also have increased. While each division varies, it seems that most rewards include a slice of Super Cake. Who doesn't like cake?

Another bit of challenge to having so many different KOTM battles is the significance of gear. At the moment, two of the challenges are involving the Avatar Gear boosts, increasing a specific type of Gear Powers a 150% boost to their values. Participants will find that what works well for one might not provide the same edge for all 6 or 7 combats.

NEWS FLASH/ Power Cards can now go to Tier 5:

While working on this article, the PTB(Powers That Be) announced some new information on the Heroes Rising Players Page. While the lead in is about new deals and bundles available to purchase, the hidden gem in the message is about the maximum level of tier for Power Cards being increased to Tier 5. This will bring a big boost to the available power levels to players who can afford the cost of tiering their collection

Patrols:

The Patrol feature is now offering a special event for the birthday celebration, A Gift for Nova. While the previously offered Patrols still haven't been fully explored by all players, those who have been gifted with a black 'Ticket to Orbit' key have discovered a new patrol that offers superior Consumable and Power Card rewards. There is also a storyline offered in this patrol that explores bits of Heroes Rising Lore explored in the Jinn story arc. The 'Ticket to Orbit' keys have been given out to avatars wearing birthday gear but can also be found on the newly opened 'A Baker, A Bunny, and A Hero' patrol, as well as a Golden Ticket (an item said to be useful later in the month of June).

League War "Birthday Bash" Announced:

One of the more popular Heroes Rising events, League Wars, returns. Leagues can once again face each other in competitive bouts against other teams. If you haven't participated in League Wars before, this is a perfect time to find a league and register.

Although the combatants in Division One typically draw a great deal of attention, every league that is able to achieve "gold" is worth note. The additional rewards available by logging into Heroes Rising, putting on some celebratory garb, and exploring the world for evil-doers during Patrols may be able to help give your team the edge they need to succeed in your League War Battle Rounds.

And there will definitely be more to come as the day's progress. New backgrounds for battles have been popping up to create some visual variety. Patrols offering consumables, including More-Fun bars and Hatoraide, are an excellent way to stock up on useful items for Alt characters or accounts not linked to Facebook that do not have access to them normally. And many, many other good things are coming to the forefront of gameplay.
